Then along came DIShonorable MALicious softWARE (MALWARE) in the forms of Viruses, Trojans, Worms, RootKits, BotNets, Spying, Spamming, KeyTracking, Spoofing, Hacking, Scamming, etc. Nearly all of us have been impacted to some extent by at least some of this. When you write a check to a large company, then they may ask your bank for an electronic transfer, and your bank will likely consider them an "honorable peer" and send them the funds. You likely will never see your check again -- or even an image of it. You are left to wonder who verifies signatures, and if all involved are "honorable". You must also wonder what sort of MALWARE is lurking around that could cause lots of your $$$ to get transferred to an account in Nigeria.
