The Hall-of-Fame and other Honorifics

    The Downey High School Hall of Fame was established in 1999 to annually honor by induction those alumni of the School who have distinguished themselves by making outstanding or noteworthy contributions or achievements which reflect positively on the School and to society.
    All alumni who graduated from Downey High at least 10 years ago and who have distinguished themselves in one of the following areas: Arts, Athletics, Education, Business, Professional, or Community are elgible.
    For nomination applications, contact Allen Layne, principal, or Robert Jagielski, assistant principal, at 562/869-7301 and request an application; it should be returned to Hall-Of-Fame Committee, Downey High School, 11040 Brookshire Ave., Downey, CA 90241.
    The Committee meets annually in January. Nominees will continue to be considered beyond the year submitted.
