Some notes about some areas of some Hillabold and related Families
There are one or maybe a few more papers on the family in the Ohio State Archives
at Columbus.
Several of the papers of Henry Hildabolt (b.1826) are in the holdings in the Dayton Metro Library.
Lisa Rickey, a resercher there, compiled a bio on him, as see at ...
Lisa's bio of Henry
and also some supporting information in the
Library entry data.

The following are notes about a book published in 1902 and also
notes on the various spellings of the name.
Many of these spellings are as those individuals actually spelled their names;
some of them are just as the name was (possibly mis-) spelled by record keepers.
"A Sketch of the Life and Death of Henry Hildabolt
With Letters and Papers Received by the Family"
Press of U.B. Publishing House Dayton, Ohio 1902
(The subject was a brother of Maude's grandfather Adam.)
A Google search of the title yields many results.
In 1990 the book is in possession of Hugh T. Hoskins (b.1936) received from
his mother (Lucille b.1906) presumably received from her mother
(Maude b.1882).
See the book in the Additional Material at

copy-2
Henry H-(b.1826), the book's subject, had a brother Adam C. H-, both of whom were
sons of John H-(b.1789) who was a son of Henry H-(b.176x)
Adam C. H-(b.1821) had a son, also named Henry(b.1859),
from whom Maude, Lucille, and Hugh are in-turn descended.
Pressed in the book is the obituary of Charles W. Hildabolt;
d.25Mar1933. He was a cousin of Maude's father Henry. Charles was a
member of the local Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shrine, IOOF, and
Knights of Pithias.
Also a sheet (really a Proctor & Gamble inventory form used as scratch
paper).
In unknown handwriting: apparently dated 1933
likely one of Maud's daughters --- possibly Alice.
possibly Maud's hand in the second person to a child.
" Born Dec 24-1882
Maud Ida Hillabold
Henry mother's great uncle
" grandfather was Adam, whom died very young, long
before she was born of typhoid fever.
Her father (Henry) died of typhoid 40 years ago April 19-1893
Adam Hillabold
&
Dorothy Weber
Mother's father was about 15 when his father died; there were
8 children; one was born after his death --- 2 boys 6 girls. "
This is the only evidence of the name Maud Ida; all other
usages (including her marriage lic.) note it as Maude C(harlotte).
On the reverse side of this same sheet in the handwriting of Lucille
is the following ...
" Maude Charlotte Hillabold
married James Samuel Thomas
in Oct 22 1903
Maude mother
Harry brother uncle
Lillie sister aunt
Jeannette sister aunt
Alice sister aunt
Mabel sister aunt "
The second col is the relation to Maude (except the first row)
the third col is the relation to Lucille.
